The exam
Four papers. One sitting.
- Paper 1, Accounting, and Paper 2, Business Laws, are written: Question 1 is compulsory, then any four of the other five, and working notes carry marks.
- Paper 3, Quantitative Aptitude, and Paper 4, Business Economics, are 100 multiple-choice questions each, with a quarter mark lost for every wrong answer.
- To pass you need at least 40 in every paper and 200 of 400 overall, in a single sitting. One weak paper is enough to fail.

The method

Which exams does Astrel CA cover?
All four papers of ICAI’s CA Foundation: Accounting, Business Laws, Quantitative Aptitude and Business Economics. CMA Foundation and CSEET are coming to the same app, free for Pro students.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes. Your first seven days are free with everything open, and you do not need a card. You can also try three questions without an account.
Is there an Android or iPhone app?
The Android app is on Google Play, on the same account as the web. The iPhone app is coming very soon; until then Astrel CA works in any browser on your iPhone, and you can add it to your home screen.
Does Pro renew automatically?
No. Pro is a one-off pack of 1, 3, 6, 9 or 12 months. Nothing is charged again unless you choose to buy another pack.
Will it mark my written answers?
Today you practise every written answer piece by piece in Answer Anatomy, and you can sit a full written paper and mark it point by point against the scheme an examiner uses. Answers marked for you, the way an examiner would, are planned.
I am in Class 11 or 12 in the MEC or CEC stream. Which app is mine?

Is it from ICAI?
No. Astrel CA is an independent app by Astrel Education. It follows the CA Foundation syllabus and exam pattern that ICAI publishes; always confirm dates and patterns at icai.org.
